About

Kamala-Chan is a new name for me – if you followed a link here, it might have had me as JenAnime.  I am changing it because, unlike my old self, I am interested in SO much more than anime.  I love so many aspects of Asian culture that I am focusing on the lotus blossom.  There is a significant meaning to the lotus in each culture I love and admire, so it’s a fitting symbol.  I intend for this blog to be a more serious side to my ramblings that JenAnime Theater was.  It is going to be more focused on reviews, and different observations instead of random tidbits like my old blog. Since I’m just starting out, I’ll be making a lot of edits.  Please check back in the future!

I got to your blog through the India tag. Your this weeks movies list is more that I have ever watched in 5 years :).

Well, we can’t all be media hogs! I just happen to love movies/books/music/tv(certain shows) a lot so I make time for them. This was an impressive week. Considering I watched Rang De Basanti last night too so that makes 7 Bollywood films in one week. With work and other responsibilities in there it’s a pretty amazing total number! Please stop by again!

Hey, Thanks for adding me to your blogroll. I just got the chance to come on WordPress after a bit of time. Work and life seem to take control.

Thanks! I kind of forget to update that page – but since you stopped by I added a few more terms. It would be interesting to have someone else blog with me – if only I knew more people! I do the best I can, and as I stated, it’s just simple musings on what I observe and find interesting in Asian culture.

if bollywood has impressed you so much may be you should watch a rajnikanth movie(he is the tamil superstar, bigger than Mr.Bachan) if you don’t like it you are to have a good laugh for sure

I’ve been hesitant to start into the Tamil stuff – or any of the other Indian cinema categories since I’m having such a hard time keeping up with Korean/Japanese/Chinese/Bollywood already. The only South Indian film I’ve seen so far is Bomarilloo and I loved it! But, since you’ve taken the time to give a recommendation I’ll have to check it out – anything in particular you suggest?

I was randomly going through your blogs and found yours interesting.

Well If you like to watch a bit more, I would suggest you the latest Robo of Rajinikanth, Lagaan if you haven’t watched it.

I basically watch a lot of Korean and Japanese dramas like,
    full house(Korean),
    Hana Yari Dango(Japanese),
Success Story of a Bright Girl(Korean),
    Lover in Paris(Korean),
Eden of the East(Anime – Japanese)
1 litre of tears (my most favorite drama – Japanese)
Death note (Anime – Japanese )

and the list goes on… Hope you have a wonderful time watching all of them.
